Just some quick reminders:

1.  At the start of each season, FVRA holds our ‘Dust off the Rust’ Camp, Running from August 24-27th 2026. During this camp there will be one ice time run as a ‘Come Try Ringette’ on August 24th at 6:30-7:30 PM.
2. After the AGM there has been a bit of shuffling on the board, as well as a few new volunteers, who we look forward to working with this season. We are still in need of people to help on the board, we are still in need of a Treasurer, and a Director of Coaching. (if you are wanting to help, please reach out to the president at president@fvringette.com)* All the season start up activities for these positions are currently being completed by current board members who are covering them until some steps up.
   If you are apprehensive and would like time to learn, this would be the year, as most of the tasks are done and the people are here to assist in easing someone new into these roles.
3. The board is all volunteer run, and we currently keep everything running smoothly with the dedication of those that are currently in place. Our concern is that a number of the board members will be aging out with their athletes and there will be experienced replacements to take on these tasks. Please help keep the association running by joining the board in order for knowledge to be transferred and we continue to have a great association for the kids.
4. Equipment Swaps: Each year we do Equipment Swaps donations/drop-offs. If you have any equipment that your athletes have outgrown, or no longer use, please consider dropping it off for donation. The Equipment Swap itself will be held in the lobby at Sportsplex. When we have the dates and time set, we will communicate that out.
5. We have 2 Come-Try Ringette sessions – the first on Aug. 18th from 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM and on Aug. 24th from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Sportsplex please reach out to Marla Christensen at promo@fvringette.com to register.
6. This year the season will begin on the first Tuesday of Sept, – September 08 2026 – the schedule will be posted on the FVRA website under Practice Schedules
7. Coaches and Managers meeting will be at the beginning of September
8. Zone Tryouts registration will close on August 13th at 11:59 PM – if you are considering trying out to be on a zone team this season, you must register by this date. If you would like to try out but be away, you will need to do the registration process and complete the absentee request – Register will be done via LMRL RAMP, a link will be sent out.
