Welcome to the Fraser Valley Ringette Association!
The Fraser Valley Ringette Association (FVRA) is the local sport organization for ringette in the Fraser Valley. FVRA’s athletes play have opportunities to play at either the recreational or competitive level. FVRA teams are sanctioned by the RingetteBC and compete in the Lower Mainland Ringette League (LMRL) against teams from neighbouring communities such as Surrey, Burnaby, Coquiltlam, Port Coquitlam, Vancouver, North Vancouver, Richmond and Delta and leagues such as Thompson-Okanagan Ringette League (TORL) and the Northern BC Ringette League. Teams also participate in tournaments and jamborees locally, within BC and even out of province.
Ringette Opportunities
Ringette is a Canadian-born sport, dating back to 1963 when Sam and Agnes Jacks introduced a new ice sport for girls using a rubber ring and a straight stick. Since that time, ringette has grown tremendously and is now played in every Province across Canada and internationally by girls, boys and adults. The ringette community is made up of a supportive, fun and driven group of people locally and nationally who have worked tirelessly to ensure opportunities abound for ringette athletes, coaches and officials.
