Return to Play Guidelines
Dear Members,
Due to Covid-19 we are facing many unknowns pertaining to our 2020/2021 Ringette season, we are hopeful that with the recent guidelines we can proceed as close to normal as possible. With the information coming to us with respect to the Return to Play Guidelines, we as a board are working diligently to set our association up with success. We are preparing as usual and your registration will assist us with our pre-season planning.
We will be opening up our registration, please note, we will be keeping our tiering of early bird pricing BUT we’ve shortened the window to accommodate our start date, in addition, we’ve extended the full payment date to help out during these times.
Ringette BC has released the “Return to Ringette (Play)” guidelines. The purpose of the document is to help provide our members with a guideline for us to get back on the ice in the safest way possible.
The guidelines in the document are subject to change based on the updates and information about COVID-19, the recommendations from government and health organizations.
The Fraser Valley Ringette Board will continue to work together and move forward in line with RBC guidelines for our RTP, we will see some changes in numbers of participants and how we ‘used’ to do things… but in the ever-changing times, we will have the mindset of safety to ensure that we can continue sport and community.
Click for the Ringette BC (RBC) Return to Play (RTP). Below are the timeline and pricing for our season. What we are pleased to offer is an initial $50 for the first payment, which will confirm your ability to use the early bird pricing, while giving us a better sense of our numbers.
Our plan at this point is to provide practice, development with modified games as laid out by RBC. This will also be dependent on the numbers of registration and our ice.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me and I will try and answer to the best of my ability or find the answers if I don’t have them. I will be participating in an RBC meeting this coming week to help with the rollout.
Membership updates will be provided regularly.
July 15-31/20 – $425.00 held with $50 deposit (3 equal payments of $125.00 Aug 15, Sept 15 and Oct 15)
Aug 1-15/20 – $450.00 held with $50 deposit (3 equal payments of $133.33 Aug15, Sept 15 and Oct 15)
Aug16 & on – $500.00 (3 equal payments of $166.67 Aug 15, Sept 15 and Oct 15)

I was just wanting to send out a preliminary notice of board member changes as well to keep you informed of any news regarding COVID-19 and our return to play for the 2020/2021 Ringette season. We are still awaiting the Return to Play plan from Ringette BC, as are all of the leagues within our province. In the interim, we are working behind the scenes with the arenas and board members to have as much of a battle plan as possible so that when we do get the guidelines from Ringette BC we can move forward. We will not inundate you with emails, but rather will be posting any and all updates/news via our social platforms and association webpage. Please, if you’ve not already done so, fill out the Association Survey to help with us gathering information.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at president@fvringette.com.
Sincerely, Nicole Burdes
