Welcome back Fraser Valley Ringateers

We are excited to get started and would like to share what the first few weeks will look like. We have our first ice times on Tuesday Sept 4 at the Langley Sportsplex. All athletes will have casual practice like ice sessions with their divisions. (Athletes must have their own practice jerseys) Please check the website for ice times and groups .We are currently working on assigning coaches, preparing for evaluations and planning the Spirit of Winter Tournament.

All players must be registered and have profile, waiver and code of conducts completed.

This season we are collaborating; Ringette BC along with LMRL and all our associations, to ensure the athletes are getting a fair opportunity to be placed on a ringette team where they will thrive and contribute as individuals and teammates alike. Another goal is to have a positive and efficient tiering round with intentions of making a challenging and successful season for all teams in the Lower Mainland League. We have created a package to assist with organizing the evaluations and to ensure consistent procedures across the lower mainland. We ask that each association communicates frequently throughout the process with each other as we will have third party (the BC NRL Thunder) evaluators to help us be unbiased and accurate with our findings. Each division will have a minimum of 3 evaluations – all athletes should attend all ice times which will include Skating skills, Ringette skills and a game (possibly 2 games if required). Each athlete will earn an ordinal and teams will be formed with this information. Tiered divisions are encouraged to form teams with athletes who have the most alike ordinals and not on numbers of registered participants. Non-tiered divisions are to create teams where the combined team ordinals are most alike. The league wants to have exciting and challenging games and with this process we are expecting to achieve this goal.

U12 and U14 athletes will be notified which evaluation group (G1 or G2) they will be placed in at their first ice time on Sept 4th.

Please be sure to sign in at every ice time. We will have a table set up at the rink, this is important to trace accurate information. Teams will be officially formed by Sept 23,2018 and teams will commence their season.

NOTE: Fraser Valley Ringette has an expectation that all players will attend all evaluation ice times; this is to ensure a fair and objective process. If your athlete is unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances, Please contact the Director of Evaluations by email : evaluations@fvringette.com

Shooting Stars Conditioning Camp

Fraser Valley Ringette is once again offering our summer conditioning camp. We are offering the camp the last week of Summer Break. It is being offered in the evenings, to enable as many athletes to participate as possible. Please note that the camp runs Sunday to Thursday, so it does not interfere with Labour Day weekend holiday plans.
For years, the focus of the Fraser Valley Summer Camp has been conditioning. We have fantastic instructors who work hard to keep the drills new, fast moving, interesting and fun!
All participants will get 1.25 hours of ice time per evening for a total of 6.25 hours of quality ice time over the course of the week. In addition each player will receive a souvenir camp giveaway. The camp is open to any child aged 7 and up.

The deadline for early registration is June 30th, 2018 but we encourage you to register early as this camp fills up quickly. We’ve had a waiting list numerous times in the past. Groups will be determined by our camp organizers. Athletes will be placed in groups based on their previous playing experience, age and ability. Participants will be notified of their groups at least one week prior to the camp.
