On Thursday November 20th our FVRA 18+ A team played a charity ringette game at 8 Rinks against the CFOX hockey team. They raised over $1000 for the BC Children’s Hospital Music Therapy program. The Fraser Valley Ringette Association is proud to support this program and thrilled our OPEN A players were able to put together such a wonderful event for this great cause. Ringette is a Canadian-born sport, dating back to 1963 when Sam and Agnes Jacks introduced a new ice sport for girls using a rubber ring and a straight stick. Since that time, ringette has grown tremendously and is now played in every Province across Canada and internationally by girls, boys and adults.
