2019 – 2020 Registration Information
Registration for the 2019-2020 season opens on May 15th, 2019. FVRA is the home association to all players living in Langley and Aldergrove. If you live outside of this area and have not played with FVRA for the past 3 consecutive seasons you need to register with your home association. Approval for cross-boundary registration must be granted by both the catchment association, FVRA and Ringette British Columbia before placement on FV roster. Please see Ringette BC – Player Release Policy for more information on player release policy.
Parents/guardians of players under 18 years of age must also fill in their contact information on Karelo (phone# & email address) in order to be registered as an adult member in the FVRA and have a vote at the association AGM.
Registration is completed online. Payment can be made via credit or debit cards and there are 2 payment options; (a) full payment at time of registration or (b) payments in 3 equal installments (1st payment at time of registration, 2nd payment on July 15th, 3rd payment on August 15th). Full payment must be received prior to players first ice time/the start of the season.
If paying by installment with a credit card please create a login (if you do not have one yet). This will allow an automatic payment on the same card for the 2nd & 3rd installment. If paying by debit card you will need to log in each month to make the subsequent payment. A reminder email will be sent to do this. The installment option is only available for registrations made on or before July 15th as full payment is due prior to the start of the season.

Important Registration Information
Registration does not guarantee the player a spot on a team. While our common goal is to ensure that every player has a spot, if teams are full, players will be placed on a waitlist in the order their registration is complete.
To Register you will need:
- BC health Care Card number
- list of allergies or medications
- email address
- payment information
Full-time goalies: (U14 to Open) All Goalies with or without own equipment, $200 registration fee only: when registering on-line and selecting the fee choose the following from the drop box menu (last choice) ‘full-time goalie U14-open’.
New player definition: player did not play ringette in BC in previous season (i.e. was not registered with Ringette BC).
Family discount: Save $50 for 3rd and 4th person in same family (youth or adult living at same residence) registering as a player
Volunteer commitment: each family is required to provide a minimum of 5 hours of volunteer time to support our association during the Spirit of Winter tournament or special events (Come Try Ringette). Those who volunteer as a coach, manager, executive member, or on the SOW tournament committee are considered to have fulfilled their volunteer commitment.
Mandatory fundraising commitment: FVRA will perform one or two Association wide fundraising events each year. Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per player to a maximum of 2 players per family. This is in addition to Parent Team volunteer requirements. If a family does not wish to participate they may instead choose to pay $100 per player (maximum 2 players) to FVRA in October. Members who do not completely fulfill their volunteer time required and have not paid the volunteer bond will be assessed the $100 or prorated fee before the end of the season. This must be paid before they can register for the new season.
Refund policy: In order to be eligible for a refund the individual must notify the Registrar in writing (e-mail or letter). All refunds will be assessed a $25 administration fee. If FVRA has already paid the player’s BCRA fee ($125) this amount will also be deducted from the final refunded payment amount. Refunds (of fees paid) for players who withdraw will be prorated from the week the registrar has received notice in writing. The refund amount will be prorated over the 24 week season (less the administration fee and any BCRA fees paid). For example, if the player withdraws during the second week of the season they will be entitled to a refund of (24 – 2) = 22 / 24 = 92% of fees paid, less the $25 administration fee.

For insurance reasons, all players must be registered, and have submitted their BCRA Waiver Form, before they will be allowed to go on the ice.
