Player Evaluations
FVRA has spent a great deal of time the past couple of years updating and refining how we manage the evaluation process and we are very happy with the results. To learn more, please read the FVRA Evaluation Letter by choosing the link at the bottom of this page. We have also attached at the bottom of this page samples of the forms our evaluators use. The evaluation and practice schedule will be posted to our web site when available (select the "Practice Schedules" link on the left). It will also be sent via email to all the Fraser Valley families who are currently in our email contacts from last season. Please note, if a Division has enough players to only form one team then evaluations will not be done.
U10-NOVICE and U12-PETITE
These divisions will be evaluated at the start of the season and the evaluation scores will be used to create equal teams. The evaluators for the U10-Novice and U12-Petite Divisions will be coaches from within the division, with a draft at the end of the evaluation process to determine player placement.
U14-TWEEN, U16- JUNIOR and U-18 BELLE
These divisions will continue to be evaluated with the purpose of placing these players on teams of like caliber of play. The scores will be tallied and used to determine the placement of players into higher or lower teams the within the division. The Lower Mainland Ringette League offers league schedules for A - B - C caliber of play.
The head coaches of the U14-Tween, U16-Junior and U18-Belle teams may have input on the placement of the final three roster positions for their division. If a player does not wish to be evaluated for the more competitive team, but would still like to skate during evaluations, please inform us when you sign-in and receive your evaluation jersey.
